Ask a Canadian fight fan where they watched UFC 129 and plenty of them will tell you. More than 55,000 people filled the Rogers Centre that night to see Georges St-Pierre defend his welterweight title, and the country has had a soft spot for the Octagon ever since. These days it's Mike Malott, Jasmine Jasudavicius and a deep crop of Canadian talent filling cards in Winnipeg and Edmonton.

At Ozoon we price every fight on a UFC card, early prelims included, along with Dana White's Contender Series, ONE Championship and Oktagon. Odds go up when a bout is booked and keep moving until the walkouts. Some bettors like to grab a number early. Others would rather wait until they've seen both fighters on the scales.

Most UFC lines open as soon as a fight is announced, sometimes a couple of months out. They don't usually move much until fight week. Then the media day interviews, the face-offs and Friday's official weigh-ins start shifting money around. By Saturday night you're looking at the closing number, which reflects pretty much everything the market knows.
Checking UFC odds tonight? Keep an eye on anyone who missed weight, and on late replacements. A fighter taking a bout on a week's notice doesn't have much recent footage, and his price can swing a long way on fight day.
Picking the winner is only the start. A lot of MMA betting comes down to how you think the fight actually plays out. Here's the quick version, with more on each below.
| Bet type | What you're backing | Works best when |
|---|---|---|
| Moneyline | The winner, by any method | You like a fighter but can't call the finish |
| Method of victory | KO/TKO, submission or decision | One fighter has a clear way to finish it |
| Round betting | The exact round it ends | You expect an early stoppage |
| Total rounds | Over or under a line such as 2.5 | You have a read on pace and cardio |
| Goes the distance | Whether it reaches the judges | Two durable fighters or two grapplers meet |
| Fighter props | Stats such as significant strikes or takedowns, where offered | You've studied a fighter's numbers |
| Same-event parlay | Several picks on one fight in one bet | Your picks all tell the same story |
The straight bet on who wins. A 30-second knockout pays exactly the same as a split decision that has half the arena booing.
Here you're calling the finish: KO/TKO, submission or decision. This is where knowing a fighter's record properly pays off. Someone with eight knockouts in ten wins, facing a man who's been dropped in each of his last two fights, is a very different bet to two grinders who've both gone the distance five times running. One quirk worth knowing: a doctor stoppage goes down as a TKO. Check the market rules for anything more unusual.
If you've got a feel for the pace, round markets give you more to work with. You can pick the exact round it ends, back it to go the distance, or take it to finish inside. Two heavyweights with questionable cardio? Lean early. Two wrestlers likely to spend fifteen minutes leaning on each other against the fence? The decision starts to look a lot more likely.
Fighter props, where we offer them, cover things like significant strikes and takedowns. With a same-event parlay you can put a winner together with a method or round on the same fight. You can also link fights across the card into a regular parlay. Every pick has to come in, though, and a five-fight parlay on a Fight Night card goes wrong more often than people expect.

Never bet on sports before? Our sports betting FAQ walks you through the basics.
Live betting suits MMA because fights turn so quickly. One flush counter and the favourite is suddenly just trying to survive. Our live UFC odds update throughout every round, though you'll sometimes see a market pause for a moment after a knockdown or a wild scramble.
The minute between rounds is the best time to look closely. Watch the stools. Is someone already sucking air? Is a lead leg starting to give after a dozen calf kicks? Is blood running into an eye faster than the cutman can stop it? Plenty of fighters who drop the first round are still priced as the favourite going into the second, and depending on what you've just watched, that can be value on either side.

Nobody wins every week betting fights. The people who do well over a full year tend to look at the same handful of things.
Records are the obvious place to start, and they're often misleading. A 15–0 prospect off the regional scene hasn't necessarily faced anyone like a 12–5 UFC veteran whose losses all came against ranked opponents. Look at who they've beaten, not how many.
When a striker meets a wrestler, takedown defence usually decides it more than punching power does. A big hitter who spends ten minutes on his back isn't landing much.
Lots of fighters look sharp for fifteen minutes and fade badly after that, so check what they've done in rounds four and five before trusting them over 25.
A big miss, or a fighter who looks gaunt on the scales, can be an early sign the cut went badly. A move up or down a division deserves a second look as well. So do short-notice replacements, who often turn up without a proper camp, and fighters coming back from a long layoff. Opening lines don't always price that in.
Big names attract public money, and sometimes a star's price says more about his reputation than how he's been fighting lately. That's usually when the other corner is worth a closer look.
Betting on fights should be fun, not a way to make money. Set a budget before the card starts, only bet what you can afford to lose, and don't chase losses.
You can set limits on your account or take time out whenever you need to. See Responsible Gaming for the tools available, or Self Exclusion to block your account.
The UFC gets most of the attention, but it isn't the only show we price.
| Promotion | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Dana White's Contender Series | Prospects fighting for a UFC contract, late summer into the fall. Lesser-known fighters can mean softer lines. |
| ONE Championship | MMA plus Muay Thai, kickboxing and submission grappling, including weekly ONE Friday Fights from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. |
| Oktagon | One of Europe's biggest promotions, with arena shows across Czechia, Slovakia and Germany. |
If you'd rather watch two fighters stay on their feet, take a look at our boxing odds.
It's a total rounds line. If the fight gets past 2:30 of the third round, the over wins. If it finishes before then, the under wins.
As long as the fight still goes ahead at a catchweight, moneyline bets stand. Some prop markets may be voided.
It depends on the market. On a standard two-way moneyline (Fighter A or Fighter B), a draw is a push and your stake is refunded. If you bet a three-way market that includes a Draw option, Draw is the winning selection and bets on either fighter lose. A No Contest, such as an accidental foul that stops the fight early, usually voids both two-way and three-way bets.
If the fight is called off before it starts, the affected markets are usually voided and stakes returned. When a replacement steps in, bets on the original matchup don't carry over, so check the new market.
