Table Tennis Betting Odds
If you've ever opened a sportsbook at 3am and wondered why there are forty table tennis matches on it, you're in the right place. By number of fixtures, table tennis is the busiest sport we offer. Most of it comes from a handful of daily leagues in Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Poland, and we price table tennis odds on all of them, pre-match and live: Setka Cup, Liga Pro, TT Cup, TT Elite Series and the Challenger Series. It's all in CAD, shown in American odds unless you've switched to decimal.
Why There's So Much Table Tennis Betting
Blame 2020. When the NHL, the Premier League and just about everything else stopped that spring, the Setka Cup in Ukraine kept playing. Sportsbooks needed something to price, and table tennis turned out to be ideal: two players, one table, an umpire, and a match done in about half an hour. Bettors found it and it never went away. By 2025 the Setka Cup says it was running more than 11,000 matches a month.
The Leagues On Our Board
Five daily leagues make up most of our table tennis schedule. Here's where each one is played and when it's busiest for bettors in Canada.

Setka Cup
The one that started it all. Setka Cup odds are up day and night, spread across short tournaments that run back to back, and every match is streamed. The organisers cap players at three days in a row and one tournament a day, so the same faces rotate through the week. Most Setka Cup predictions you'll find online are reading the same thing you can: how a player has been going in today's session.
Liga Pro
Czech Liga Pro is the league you'll see most often on Canadian sportsbooks. Play starts early in the Czech morning, which is the middle of the night in Toronto, and wraps up during the Canadian afternoon. The player pool is small and local, so two players can meet several times in a month.
TT Elite Series
Poland's TT Elite Series is the night shift. Matches are often scheduled ten minutes apart and a full day can run to around 300 of them. If you sit down after dinner in Canada and want something live, this is usually it.
TT Cup and Challenger Series
Two smaller pools with the same rhythm. TT Cup is Ukrainian, and the Challenger Series sits under Germany in our A–Z. Both have pre-match and live lines.
International events like the European Championships show up in the A–Z when they're on.
How To Bet On Table Tennis
Click a price on any match and it lands on your betslip. Put in a stake, check the return, confirm. That's all there is to placing it.
Reading the price is what trips people up. A minus number is what you'd risk to win $100; a plus number is what $100 would win. Here's a match listed at Player A -175 and Player B +140, worked out on smaller stakes (example odds only):

Most matches in the daily leagues are priced fairly close, somewhere around -150 against +130, because the players come out of the same pool. Every so often a player in form meets someone who's lost six straight and you'll see -400 or longer. Those short prices look safe. In a best-of-five sport they often aren't.
Table Tennis Betting Markets & Lines
Everything here hangs off the format, so start with that. Daily league matches are best of five games. A game goes to 11, but you have to win by two, so 10-10 becomes 12-10 or 15-13 or whatever it takes. That leaves only three ways a match can finish: 3-0, 3-1 or 3-2. Once that clicks, the lines more or less explain themselves.
The moneyline is just who wins, and it's where most of the money goes. The game handicap and total games lines are where the format really matters. This is how each possible final score settles them:

Notice that +1.5 games and over 4.5 both live or die on a 3-2 finish. If you think a match goes the distance but can't call the winner, over 4.5 does the job without picking a side.
Total points needs a bit more feel. A routine 3-0 at about 11-7 a game finishes in the mid-50s. A five-gamer with a deuce game in it can get past 95. Deuce games decide a lot of totals bets, and you can't see them coming.
You'll also find lines on single games (Game 1 winner and Game 1 points are the popular ones), correct score across the six possible results, and a points handicap over the whole match. Live Table Tennis Betting
Live table tennis odds move faster than anything else we offer. A rally lasts seconds and a game a couple of minutes, so the market suspends after nearly every point and comes back at a new price. If it moves while your bet is going through, the slip will ask you to accept the new odds.
People coming over from tennis tend to read too much into a run of points. In table tennis the serve changes hands every two points, and every point from 10-10, so there's no holding serve and nothing special about a mini-break. A 4-0 run happens all the time.
What helps in-play is remembering where the match was priced before it started. Two near-even players who split the first two games are roughly back where they began. A big favourite who drops game one is still a big favourite over five, and the live price doesn't always reflect that.

What To Look At Before You Bet
None of this makes table tennis predictable. Five short games is a tiny sample and upsets happen constantly. Regulars do tend to check the same few things, though.
The big one is how many matches a player has already played today. In the daily leagues someone can play several times in one session, and the later matches are rarely as sharp as the first.
Head-to-heads count for more here than in most sports, because the same players meet over and over. Style is usually the reason. A defender who chops everything back, or a blocker with long pimples, can drive a particular attacker mad whatever the ratings say.
Form means this week. A season average covers too many sessions to tell you much.
WTT events are a different exercise altogether. The differences that matter for a bet:

How Table Tennis Bets Are Settled

Why are there so many table tennis matches to bet on?
Because the daily leagues never stop. The Setka Cup and Czech Liga Pro run short tournaments back to back all year, and a match only takes about half an hour.
Are table tennis matches best of five or best of seven?
Depends where. The daily leagues play best of five. Singles at the top WTT events are usually best of seven, which changes the total games and handicap lines, so check before you bet.
What does -1.5 games mean in table tennis betting?
In a best-of-five match, your player has to win 3-0 or 3-1. The other side of it, +1.5 games, pays if that player wins or only loses 3-2.
