League is the easiest esport to watch and, for most people, the easiest to bet on. Dragons, towers and Baron are all on screen, gold leads tend to stick, and a team that's comfortably ahead at 20 minutes usually finishes the job. Upsets happen, but less often than in Dota or the shooters, so knowing the teams goes a long way.
We price League of Legends from the regional leagues (LCK, LPL, LEC and LCS) up to MSI and Worlds, with match, game, kill and objective markets in American odds.
The LoL year has a steady rhythm: regional leagues for most of it, two international events along the way, and Worlds in the autumn.
| Event | When | What you're getting |
|---|---|---|
| LCK, LPL, LEC, LCS | January to September, in splits | The bulk of the year's matches, and where you learn each team's habits |
| First Stand | Early in the year | A short international event between the first split's winners |
| MSI (Mid-Season Invitational) | Mid-year | The regional champions meet, and results hand out extra Worlds places |
| Worlds | October into November | The world championship: a Swiss Stage, then best-of-five knockouts |
Worlds moves to a different region each year. Korean and Chinese teams have won almost every one since 2013, and T1, with Faker, have more titles than anyone. If a Western team is going to cause an upset, it's usually in the Swiss Stage, against opponents they hardly ever play. Outrights for Worlds and MSI are on our esports futures page.
| Market | What you're backing | Example |

| Game winner | One game on its own | Game 3 winner |
| Kill handicap | The kill margin in one game | -6.5 kills |
| Total kills | Combined kills in one game | Over 26.5 |
| Game duration | How long one game lasts | Under 32:30 |
| First blood, tower, dragon or Baron | Which team gets there first | First Baron, Game 1 |
| Outrights | Who wins the event | Worlds winner |
If you follow the regional leagues closely, the objective props are where it pays off. Teams have habits. Some junglers start on the dragon side nearly every game; some teams will happily give up early dragons to take towers. Those habits show up on the map well before they show up in the prices.
Live LoL odds move around objectives. The first Baron is usually the biggest swing in a game, followed by a dragon Soul and any late fight that wipes a team. Markets suspend during big fights and objective attempts and reopen once it's clear who came out ahead.
Because leads hold up well in League, live favourites don't drift as far as they do in Dota. The better spots are often the other way round: a team that's behind on kills but ahead on towers and dragons, or one whose draft gets stronger as the game goes on. Broadcasts run on a delay, so prices can move before you see why on stream. Every in-play LoL market is on the live betting page.
The LCK and LPL have produced most world champions. International matches are where that gap shows, and where Western teams sometimes get priced on reputation.
Under Fearless draft, a team with a player who only has a handful of comfort picks can run out of answers deep into a best-of-five.
Check who gets to pick side in each game. First pick matters more on some patches than others.
Worlds is played on a locked patch. Teams from leagues that got to grips with it early tend to look sharper in the first week.
Some teams fight early and finish fast; others sit back and play for Baron and late teamfights. That's what decides kills and game-length bets.
League of Legends is part of our esports betting section, alongside CS2, Dota 2, Valorant and Rainbow Six. If you like MOBAs and want more chaos, Dota 2 is the comparison. You can deposit with Interac e-Transfer, cards or crypto; the crypto FAQ explains how.
Betting on League of Legends should be fun, not a way to make money. Only bet what you can afford to lose, and take a break if it stops feeling like entertainment. See Responsible Gaming for the tools available, or Self Exclusion to block your account.
Every autumn, usually from early October to early or mid-November. The host region changes each year, and the final is a best-of-five.
A match bet settles on the whole series. A game bet settles on one game, so you can back a team to take Game 1 even if you think they'll lose the series.
A draft rule where a team can't reuse a champion it has already played in that series. It makes long series much harder for teams with narrow champion pools.
The LCK, LPL, LEC and LCS while they're in season, plus First Stand, MSI and Worlds. Coverage follows the competitive calendar.
On the whole, yes. Gold leads convert more reliably than in Dota, so strong teams win more consistently. They still lose, especially in best-of-one matches.
