Thorn Forest takes the action into a northern kingdom covered in endless thorns after a mysterious curse. Giant wolves appear after dark, while a guardian waits deeper within the forest.

The game is built around shooting enemies as they appear, with two confirmed mechanics changing how groups of targets can be handled. The Hidden Enemy Event targets enemies that are concealed during play, while Freeze Chance can stop the enemies currently visible on screen.

Setting off the Hidden Enemy Event clears a large group of hidden enemies at once. Rather than affecting only the enemies already visible, the feature targets concealed enemies and removes them when the event activates.

Freeze Chance works differently. When it activates, enemies currently in view are frozen and stop moving. This creates a temporary change to enemy movement while the effect remains active.
